The Municipality of Riano will host the 2025 MedFilm Festival, an event founded in 1995 to promote Mediterranean and European cinema, encouraging intercultural dialogue, cooperation among Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries, and the protection of human rights.

The screening will take place on Saturday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Palazzo Baronale, featuring the film Familia by Francesca Costabile, inspired by the autobiography of Luigi Celeste. The movie explores the theme of domestic violence through the story of a Calabrian family marked first by the absence, and later by the return, of a violent father.

Familia received eight nominations at the 2025 David di Donatello Awards, winning Best Supporting Actor, and also earned five nominations at the Silver Ribbon Awards.

Citizens are warmly invited to attend the screening.
